As compared to general election 2018, Fafen witnessed an increase in women candidates in general election 2024. This increase relates to presence of women candidates in constituencies in 2024 general election as compared to general election 2018, where women candidates had been absent. Fafen believes this a welcome sign but still a lot needs to be done to involve women in political process, including elections.
