Cases of meningitis almost doubled – 12 districts reporting 267 in June as compared with 132 in 11 districts recorded in the preceding month, a Free and Fair Election Network (FAFEN) report said Thursday. ISLAMABAD, August 30: Crimes against women increased 7% this year as 57 districts reported 982 cases in May 2012 compared to 922 in the same month last year. ISLAMABAD, August 12: During the March-May 2012 quarter, cases of gastrointestinal diseases, which include diarrhea and dysentery and gastroenteritis, went up by 60% per district. A total of 690,431 such cases were registered in May as compared to 574,168 recorded in April and 372,411 in March.
