Sitting takes up all agenda items save the constitutional bill

ISLAMABAD, February 13, 2012: Starting an hour and 34 minutes behind schedule, the ninth sitting of the National Assembly met for two hours and 19 minutes. The House took up all the items listed on the Agenda except the Constitution (Twentieth Amendment) Bill 2012. Marked by low attendance, the sitting witnessed 80 Legislators at the start and 51 were there when it was adjourned.

Low Attendance Persists

ISLAMABAD, February 10, 2012: Starting more than an hour behind schedule, the eighth sitting of the National Assembly continued to witness low attendance by Members. Only 57 were present at the start and 82 when the sitting was adjourned. A maximum of 106 Members were present at one point during the sitting.
