ISLAMABAD, February 2, 2012: Starting an hour and five minutes behind schedule, the second sitting of the National Assembly met for an hour and 55 minutes. Though the House witnessed a relatively better attendance of Members – with a maximum of 212 present at one point – 52% of the sitting time was consumed by Points of Order (PO).

ISLAMABAD, Feb 1, 2012: Marked by low attendance of Senators, the twelfth sitting of the Upper House’s 77th session witnessed walkout over increase in the prices of petroleum products. At the start of the sitting seven Senators were present and ten were there when it was adjourned.

Points of Order consume half of the Sitting Time

ISLAMABAD, February 1, 2012: The National Assembly deferred the Constitution (Twentieth Amendment) Bill, 2012 till tomorrow during its first sitting of the 39th session on Wednesday. The sitting spanning two hours and 15 minutes was marked by low attendance with 32 Legislators present at the start and 131 were there when the session adjourned.
