Strengthening Voice and Accountability Programming in the Education Sector report is unique in terms of its approach, methodology and content. It is not an evaluation or assessment of education projects in Pakistan, but instead, a validation that the results attributed to these countrywide interventions are an outcome of rigorous implementation of Voice and Accountability (V&A) programming. The validation exercise included seven projects supported by Ilm Ideas and four by other donors.

Punjab PA Session Marked by Low Interest of Lawmakers

ISLAMABAD, September 9, 2015: The 16th session of the Punjab Assembly was marked by low attendance of lawmakers as the House witnessed passage of one and introduction of eleven government bills, says the Free and Fair Election Network (FAFEN). The session, comprising ten sittings, started on August 26, 2015 and concluded on September 8, 2015. On average, each sitting started 95 minutes behind the schedule and lasted an hour and 36 minutes.

24th National Assembly Session Attendance Report Card

FAFEN releases the Attendance Report Card for the 24th National Assembly Session. The report is based on the attendance data made public by the National Assembly Secretariat. The report sheds light on overall attendance of the lawmakers during the session as well as the attendance of key members such as Prime Minister, Leader of the Opposition, Speaker, Deputy Speaker, parliamentary leaders and federal ministers.

NA Session: 12 Bills Passed, Nine Resolutions Adopted amid Low Attendance

ISLAMABAD, August 13, 2015: The 24th session of the National Assembly was marked by the passage of twelve government bills and adoption of nine resolutions as the House continued to witness low attendance of lawmakers, says Free and Fair Election Network (FAFEN). The session, comprising 14 sittings, started on July 27 and was prorogued on August 13, 2015. On average, each sitting started 32 minutes behind the schedule and lasted three hours and four minutes.

Provincial Assembly of the Sindh 21st Session Report

ISLAMABAD, August 12, 2015: The Sindh Assembly passed seven bills and adopted six resolutions during its 21st session, says Free and Fair Election Network in its session report based on direct observation of the Sindh Assembly. The House passed seven bills – six government and one private. One private bill was introduced in the House while a government bill and another private bill appearing on the agenda were not considered during the session.
