The latest voter statistics published by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) show a decrease of over 580,000 voters across the country, with the total number of registered voters declining from 137.16 million to 136.57 million during since May 2026,
The ECP has recently published on its website the province- and district-wise voter stats updated as of 2 July 2026. According to the updated data, the electoral rolls include 72.83 million male and 63.73 million female voters.
In comparison, the electoral rolls released on May 7, 2026, recorded 73.28 million male and 63.87 million female voters. This indicates a net decline of 589,458 registered voters during the two data releases.
Among all provinces, Punjab recorded the largest decline in registered voters, with a reduction of 478,909 voters, including 345,879 male and 133,030 female voters.
In Sindh, the total number of registered voters decreased by 97,216, comprising 80,560 male and 16,656 female voters.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) experienced a net decline of 9,046 registered voters. While the number of male voters decreased by 16,884, the province recorded an overall increase of 7,838 female voters, partially offsetting the overall decline.
Similarly, Balochistan registered a net decrease of 2,226 voters. The number of male voters declined by 6,518, whereas 4,292 new female voters were added to the electoral rolls during the same period.
In the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT), the total number of registered voters declined by 2,061, including 1,121 male and 940 female voters.
According to Section 36(b) of the Elections Act 2017, the Registration Officer revise the electoral rolls periodically and during this process may delete the name of any person who has died or who is or has become disqualified for enrolment in electoral rolls. Under Section 40, the Election Commission may also directly order, at any time, the exclusion from an electoral roll of the name of any person who has died or has become disqualified to be a voter.
