KP Assembly Holds Debate on Budget Formulation Process

ISLAMABAD, April 23, 2014: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Assembly held debate on budget formulation process for the next fiscal year 2014-15 during fifth sitting of 12th session on Wednesday, says Free and Fair Election Network in its Daily Factsheet.

Minister for Auqaf, Hajj, Religious & Minority Affairs introduced the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Charitable & Religious Trusts Bill, 2014.

Sponsored by JUI-F lawmakers, the House took up two calling attention notices (CANs) regarding financial loss occurring due to the closure of mines in Buner and termination of employees of Focus Grammar Schools.

The House took up eight of 17 starred questions (requiring oral as well as written replies) while five questions were responded to. The lawmakers asked seven supplementary questions as well.

The members spoke on seven points of order consuming 19 minutes of the proceedings. The House was adjourned to meet again on May 8, 2014.
