Rawalpindi, May 30, 2024: FAFEN’s All Pothohar Regional Alliance (APRA) conducted a training session, centered on some crucial domains essential for augmenting their efficacy in Rawalpindi on May 20, 2024. This one-day training of the regional member organizations (RMOs) was organized to capacitate them on the activities related to capacity building of RMOs. The participants were able to increase their communication, data gathering, and advocacy through the utilization of technology, which was accomplished through the courses that covered advanced digital abilities. In addition, the training consisted of extensive modules on research methodology, which provided members of APRA with the resources necessary to carry out detailed investigations on governance issues.
The participants engaged in conversations regarding the most effective methods of citizen-centered government, as well as various tactics for involving local communities in decision-making processes in a more efficient manner. The purpose of this endeavor was to enhance APRA’s capacity to make a significant contribution to the ongoing national conversation about governance and to advocate for practices that are transparent and accountable within local governments.
The training taught members strong research methods that let them do in-depth, correct studies on government and local problems. This has resulted in the development of research reports of a high quality, which are currently being utilized to contribute to the discussion of policy and to push for improved governance practices respectively. Furthermore, the participants learned better digital skills that let them use technology for better lobbying, data collection, and communication. This has resulted in an improvement in their capacity to engage with communities and stakeholders through the use of online resources such as social media, digital platforms, and other software.
