The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) is adding an average of 7,599 new voters to the electoral rolls every day, according to district-wise data published on its website.

The rate of increase among women is significantly higher than among men. Each day, an average of 4,610 new women are added to the rolls compared to 2,989 new men. Overall, the total number of registered voters has risen from 13.49 crore to 13.54 crore between September 11 and November 13, 2025, registering an increase of more than 478,000 voters in about 63 days.

The rate of voter registration varies across the provinces.

• Punjab recorded the highest increase, adding more than 273,000 voters with an average daily rise of 4,340 new registrations.
• Sindh followed with an increase of over 95,800 voters, averaging 1,521 additions per day.
• Khyber Pakhtunkhwa registered more than 79,000 new voters at a daily rate of 1,255.
• Balochistan added over 33,000 voters, averaging 523 new voters per day.
• Islamabad was the only region to experience a decline, with a net decrease of 2,650 voters or an average of 42 voters removed from the rolls each day over the past two months.

Which districts recorded the highest increases?

Lahore reported the largest increase in registered voters, with over 42,000 new voters during the last two months. Other districts with notable increases of over 10,000 voters include Rawalpindi, which added more than 18,400 voters; Rahim Yar Khan, which registered over 14,100 new voters; Faisalabad, which recorded an increase of 13,600 new voters; Gujranwala, with over 11,450; and Karachi East, with more than 11,400. All remaining districts saw an increase of fewer than 10,000 voters during the same period.

Which districts recorded decline in registered voters?

Apart from Islamabad, five districts registered a net decrease in the number of voters. The largest drop occurred in Karachi Central, where the net decrease was 5,321 voters. Chitral Upper saw a decline of 232 voters, Dukki lost 13 voters, Kohistan Lower eight, and Kolai Palas one. In Wazirabad, the number of registered voters remained unchanged during the two-month period.
