Central Pakhtunkhwa Development Network Holds Community Awareness Session in Charsadda

Community awareness session was held here with focus on lack of education and awareness among women. Here’s more.

 

Charsadda, December 10, 2023: Free and Fair Election Network’s (FAFEN) Regional Network – Central Pakhtunkhwa Development Network (CSDN) conducted a community awareness session on issues of women’s access to polling stations, in Tehsil Shabqadar, district Charsadda.

The participants took part in the discussion regarding issues women face while accessing the polling stations on election day. Some of the issues highlighted during the discussion were lack of education and awareness among women, norms against free mobility of women, decision-making power residing with the men, and no national identity card (NIC) for women. The session will help the women understand the importance of their vote and promote their participation in electoral processes.
