National Assembly Attendance Report Card – 13th Session

  • ISLAMABAD, February 28, 2025: As many as 77 (25 percent) Members of the National Assembly (MNAs) attended all sittings, whereas 46 (15 percent) did not attend any sitting during the 13th session of the National Assembly that spanned over six sittings between February 10 and 18, 2025. Following are key highlights of the report:

    • The third sitting had the highest number of MNAs (205 or 65 percent) present during the session.
    • The fourth sitting had the lowest number of MNAs (142 or 45 percent) present.
    • As many as 237 MNAs (75 percent) skipped at least one sitting during the session.
    • As Many as 83 MNAs (35 percent) submitted applications for leave of absence during the session.
    • As many as 154 MNAs (65 percent) skipped the House proceedings without any formal leave application in advance.
    • Among the cabinet members, the Minister of State Finance & Revenue, and Power had the highest attendance, participating in five sittings.
    • Prime Minister did not attend any sitting while the Leader of the Opposition attended three sittings (50 percent).
