Voter education along with women participation in the electoral process are a must for democracy to flourish in Pakistan. FAFEN networks take lead.
December 20, 2023: FAFEN’s Regional Networks in Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Balochistan actively conducted range of activities including awareness-raising sessions, road-side campaigns, seminars on voter education and participation, sessions with students, etc. on promoting electoral participation of women and persons with disabilities (PWDs). The campaign is aligned with the upcoming general elections in February 2024. The participants of the events were sensitized to their roles and responsibilities in empowering the marginalized and ensuring their participation in the elections.
