Lahore, May 5, 2025: FAFEN’s Shah Hussain Regional Network (SHRN) celebrated International Women’s Day for the fourth year by organizing various innovative activities during March and April 2025. The purpose of organizing these events was to pay tribute to the diligent struggle of women.
The events organized to mark World Women’s Day include 10 awareness sessions, six awareness seminars, two public rallies, three activities to facilitate the creation of women’s identity cards, letters to members of the provincial assembly on women’s issues, a campaign on social media for highlighting women’s struggle in development, and the launch of an information brochure. The activities were participated by the general public, including a large number of women. Local officials of NADRA, Election Commission of Pakistan, Social Welfare and Baitul Mal, Federal Ombudsman also participated in these activities.
