Shah Hussain Regional Network Organizes Tree Plantation Activity

Lahore, May 9, 2025: Building on last year’s initiatives, FAFEN’s Shah Hussain Regional Network (SHRN) launched a tree plantation campaign to promote environmental sustainability in Pakistan. First initiated in 2023, this effort reflects SHRN’s commitment to creating a greener future through collective action.
To strengthen its environmental advocacy, SHRN collaborated with the Department of Environmental Conservation and Wildlife Protection, successfully securing the inclusion of its regional members—Wajahat Batool and Rana Muhammad Anas—in the Provincial Coordination Committee. This partnership has further aligned SHRN’s focus on environmental protection. SHRN conducted other initiatives such as awareness sessions, rallies, and social media campaigns alongside tree plantation drives.
Under the environmental protection campaign, a total of 34 activities were organized by 16 regional member organizations on a voluntary basis from January 2025 to April 2025, including 3 awareness seminars, 4 awareness sessions, 14 awareness rallies, and tree plantation at 15 locations.
